There's no place like.....SC in the summertime!

I think one of my most favorite things about family sessions, especially extended family sessions, is that it's not everyday (usually) that everyone is together in such a beautiful place. I love it when families ask me to take pictures of everyone and their brother   <literally!> to remember forever.

This was one of those families! Patrick is stationed here with the Navy and his whole family came down from Kansas to visit.

Nice looking group, right?!

Thanks for your service Patrick! And, I hope you and your family enjoyed your time together exploring our beautiful Lowcountry!

Family vacation at the beach

I love what I do. So much! I was happy to hear from Christy, a repeat client, about a big 'ole family session at the beach. Her sisters, their families, mom and aunt came to visit and the family hunkered down in a beautiful beach house on Isle of Palms. There were lots of littles, so it was a mad dash to get some shots before they lost interest. I must say, I am incredibly impressed with all of them! They did FANTASTIC!

I hope these pictures remind them of their great week at the beach in South Carolina for years to come!

Slow your roll.

It's a slow, lazy day around here with my little ladybugs. Yesterday we had our 2 and 4 year well check visits with a few vaccinations. It never fails that the day after, these pistols run a little slower. But I'm ok with that.

A morning with the girls

We live in the South and summertime is both welcomed and hated. We are known for our insane heat, humidity, and summer storms. It isn't unusual to have a beautiful sun filled morning followed by an evening of ear crackling thunderstorms. These past few days have been rough for my two little ladies whom LOVE to be outside. Most days, my husband is the outside parent, giving me a much, MUCH needed break from our little loves. One of the many reasons I love him :) This morning hasn't been too humid, so we headed out early to get some playing in. They loved it, especially since there was lots of water. Something else they can't get enough of. Messy. Very messy.

These girls LIVE in their boots. Lilah Jayne would sleep in them if I let her. Unfortunately, they are on their last life :(

There isn't much sand left in this sandbox but she sure can scrounge something together to play with!

I had to explain that her friends were in school. She wasn't digging that.

The dog's water. They can't not put anything in a giant pail of water. And not make a mess....

Ms. L

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting this lovely lady! I braved the insane Friday evening traffic for this awesome session. Very much worth it I must say :)

Professional business never looked so good!

I am so incredibly thankful for all of my awesome clients!! I literally could not be doing what I love to do if it wasn't for word of mouth. Seriously! I've come a long way and plan on growing even more. I can not wait to see what the future holds! THANK YOU ALL!!

It has been awhile....

There has been so much that has happened and my poor little blog was neglected. SO SORRY!! The warmer, happier weather has come back to the Lowcountry. Well, the hot and humidity that is.

I'm in the midst of re-focusing, learning, growing, and a busy summer season for sure. YAY!

Yesterday I went on a walking photography class and had so much fun. Jeni at Seastar Arts Photography is such an amazingly nice chick! Here are a few shots of the wonderful downtown Charleston area....

Baby M

So I spent Friday evening with THE NICEST couple!! We spent the time snapping some shots of the beautiful momma to be. Seriously, I am envious of her absolutely perfect baby bump. Really, it was great.

This is going to be one GORGEOUS baby girl!!
