The Day After Christmas

First off, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We sure did! My girls are very lucky little ladies.

It was an experience figuring out the best scenario to take these special pictures. I believe I am well on my way to understanding my manual mode on my camera. Lighting in this house with smallish windows and green (yes GREEN) carpet is tricky. I played with my ISO and WB and I think I was able to get some pretty nice stuff :) You can't go wrong with these babies of mine though. Nope. Never.

 

Now we're off into the New Year! I wish everyone a SAFE and HAPPY New Year!

NEW LOGO!!

This is serious, serious business.

I GOT A NEW LOGO!! :)

When I bit the bullet and started my photography journey, I designed a quick logo to start with. A quick, EASY logo. I hadn't opened Photoshop in YEEEAAAARRS and knew my skill set would not get me far. But, Mandy did the job! Now that I'm moving right along, I knew I needed a more professional, ME logo. I'm pretty sure I found it! Thanks so much to Mandy of QuietForestDesign!

JOY!

I had a bit of an adventure yesterday trying to find Azalea Park in Summerville. I still consider myself "new" around these parts, though it has been a year. What can I say, there's a lot of new places that are yet to be discovered for sure!

When I finally did find the place, it was BEAUTIFUL! And the Joy family, they were awesome! Miss E is in the midst of getting her teefies and recently started sticking her tongue out. Can you say ADORABLE?!

Mom and Dad were pretty great too. Funny! I LOVE funny clients! I think it makes the pictures more real.

 

 

 

I had such a great time with this fun little family! Can't wait to work with them in the future!



I had the pleasure of meeting a new little family on Wednesday. They decided they wanted to have some family pictures taken at The Battery with their newest addition, Mr. Leo. What a perfect day it was!!

Now, to be honest, I hadn't had the privilege of taking someone else's pictures here, just my girls. We picked the perfect time because the light was A M A Z I N G!

 

Mom picked out the perfect outfits for pictures too! The colors pop. When having family pictures done, I like to suggest bright colors that coordinate. Matching is OK, if that's your thing, but how fun is this picture with all of the coordinating colors and patterns?!

 

 

If you can't tell, I LOVE BRIGHT COLORS!! And this shot of this handsome little guy :)

  So. I am so excited about where this life decision is going to <hopefully> take me! A month in and I have 170 Likes on my Facebook page and have done well over 10 sessions. I'm on my way!! A LOT to learn and grow, but a great beginning just the same. THANK YOU to everyone who believes in me and are cheering me on! I APPRECIATE IT ALL!!

 

  NOW, to the AMAZING shoot I did of my girls down on the beach at sunrise. I have to applaud my husband for "going with it." It was early, cold, and the girls were a bit tired. But, we did it!! I have a whole bunch of fun ideas for shoots, and I hope to find just the right people to make them come to life with.
